Sunday Stripes

10:14 PM

Is it Sunday already?! It never fails - the actual work weeks creeps on and on, but I could blink and the weekends are over. Every weekend I tell myself I am going to sleep in and rest/relax and then every weekend I’m up at the butt crack of dawn, doing a thousand and one different things.

Being a grown up is for the birds!!

Anyway, this weekend Joe and I went on a little walk through Oak Park to look at some of the architecture and homes. Frank Lloyd Wright houses are everywhere in this city and his design aesthetic is truly amazing to look at. That said, we ran into this beautiful flower garden on our walk and I couldn’t help but stop and take pics.

I am a sucker for beautiful greenery and this one included hydrangeas which happen to be a favorite of mine! I’ve said it a thousand times before, but one of the things I look forward to most about having a home one day is being able to plant my own flower gardens.

And by the way, I don’t usually go out perusing the city in a pair of heels. As much as I love fashion - I am a practical person and there is no use putting my feet through torture if I know I’ll be walking around a lot. These shoes however are so comfortable!! I got these several years ago (as in like 7 years ago!), and since they are a wedge, with only about a 2 inch height, they are the perfect ‘heel’ to wear comfortably all day. That probably explains why I’ve hung onto them for so long too :)

What did you get into this weekend?!
