Chicago, Chicago

6:23 PM

Like death and taxes, there are two things that are absolutely certain in the city of Chicago….cold winters and traffic. But since I no longer have a car, traffic is really not too much of a concern of mine anymore (want to know why I don’t have a car? Click here). Winters however; they’re brutal!

No one moves to Chicago for the winters. The city of Chicago is so much fun, and absolutely gorgeous in the summertime; that’s why people love this city..not because of the constant snow, bone chilling wind and depressing cold temperatures. That shit isn’t even for the birds (excuse my French!).

Anyway, you can’t survive the winter without a super warm coat and a scarf. It’s just a necessity. Especially when you spend as much time outside as I do. Maybe it’s because I’m sedentary, or because it’s early in the morning, but waiting for the train is one of the coldest moments of the day for me. Thankfully having the proper accessories makes me slightly more excited for this daunting task.

This scarf is my go-to every super cold morning! Never mind that it’s made of Mongolian cashmere and feels like butter around my neck, it’s uniquely designed and created to connect the wearer to the greatest city in America..CHICAGO! While Chicago may not be my roots, it is my home and I love to envelop myself in the culture of being a local. Why purple? Ever heard of Northwestern University…duh! Yep, two Northwestern graduates own the company (Evanstonthat created this trendy, and investment worthy scarf.

This scarf, also named The Parker, reminds me of both Northwestern University, but also one of my favorite bars in the city called J. Parker. This place has one of the best rooftops and views in the city! If you visit Chicago in the summer, put J. Parker on your bucket list. If you visit Chicago in the winter, buy The Parker scarf so you can shop on Michigan Avenue, bar hop on Hubbard St. and see all the sites without sacrificing your style and freezing your butt off!

You’re welcome :)
