Would you believe that it snowed here in Chicago this weekend?! Just when I thought I could pack up the Winter essentials and I’ve been investing in dresses and sandals, mother nature throws us a monkey wrench and snow storm. As a Kentucky girl, I miss the seasons…all of them. But in an attempt to see the silver lining of an April snow storm…at least I didn’t ruin these new booties!

I’m notorious for being caught in crappy weather with the most non-weather friendly clothes! Flowing skirts in a wind storm, a white shirt in a rain storm, and suede boots in a snow storm…story of my life! I’ve been trying to prepare better by checking the weather every morning when I rinse the morning crusties from my eyes, but even a meteorologist can be wrong…so these worry-free suede booties were seriously the best decision I could have made! This means if Mr. Weatherman said it was going to be sunny and instead it rains, it doesn’t matter because it won’t ruin your shoes!

As a self-proclaimed shoeaholic, nothing is worse than ruining a pair of shoes…okay actually there are a lot of things that are worse, but I still never enjoy ruining a good pair of shoes (like stepping in dog poo this morning…should I have taken that as a sign of what’s to come this week?!). So while these aren’t the cheapest shoes I own, they’ve already paid for themselves by holding up through the unexpected April snowstorm…but according to the old wives tail, April showers bring May flowers…and I’d even take rain over snow at this point. Either way it won’t affect my boots!
