Hi there! Remember me?

If you caught my post last week, then you know my schedule has been jam packed, but since things are finally starting to slow down a little bit, I used this weekend to catch up on some seriously outdated material for the blog. While the weather wasn’t the best, I was able to get a few shoots of some recent outfits, this one being one of my favorites…ever!

I just got this skirt back from the tailor because it needed to be shortened just the tiniest little bit and considering my crazy schedule I didn’t have time to alter it myself, but it is seriously perfect! I wanted to style it a little bit differently than I normally would (I must have had a wild hair up my butt that day!), so I paired it with a spaghetti strap silk cami (I NEVER wear spaghetti straps, so clearly I was feeling brave) and a sweet little sweater. And of course, these shoes!!! The total cost of the outfit is less than $200 too, so that makes it even sweeter, right?!

Also, how cute is this little umbrella?! Every time I see it, I just think of the little umbrellas that come in Mai Tais and it just makes me want to be at the beach! But apparently these babies are supposed to hold up through some serious wind, which is much needed here in Chicago because I have broken countless umbrellas recently and it would be really nice to not have to buy another one!

Okay, enough about the outfit – let’s get down to the nitty gritty. If you saw my post on Instagram (no worries if not, click here), then you know Joe and I are in a knockdown, drag out, Fit Bit steps challenge! A lot of you asked about the motivation behind it, which is basically that he and I have fallen off the workout wagon and really needed to push each other to get back in shape, especially considering the wedding is in almost a year!

So he and I went out and purchased the FitBit Alta, mainly because I really hated wearing my other FitBit because it clashed with all my outfits lol. That sounds like a terrible reason to not want to be healthy, but come on– fashion before fitness in my book! But anyway, here’s our challenge:
  • Each week, the person with the most steps wins $40.
  • At the end of October (yes, October!), however much money each person accumulates, gets to spend it on whatever they want! So if I win every week, I’d have like $1000 to spend – which I have deemed would be spent on Christian Louboutin shoes – duh!
But if you have been reading the blog, or really know me at all, then you know working out isn’t my favorite thing in the world…so the more support I can get, the better! You all have already shared a lot of really great tips for getting steps in (huge kudos to the person who suggested I put the FitBit on my dog – I’m still laughing out loud), but if you have more – feel free to share below. Also, make sure to add me on FitBit by clicking here!

Alright, now off to the gym!
