You probably already saw on my Instagram or read on the blog that Joe and I are in a fitness competition until October (if not, no worries – read about it here). I am currently losing (story of my life – Joe is the most competitive person on planet Earth), but at least I am winning in regards to being healthy and fit – right? And of course I am winning in the style department…but that probably isn’t a fair competition…after all – I do blog about fashion people..or at least I try to!!

When Joe and I discussed the idea of getting into shape, I decided I needed to stop eating so much ice cream (among other things) and that I needed to shop for new gym clothes. I’ve said it time and time again, but any excuse to shop is a good excuse! My quest for active wear led to the same old, same old gear, or clothing that would set me back more than I care to spend on lounge clothes…until I discovered the super sleek Ideology line exclusively at Macys.

Without a doubt, this cowl neck sweatshirt is my favorite piece in the line…its lightweight and slouchy, but still stylish and chic – which I can’t imagine is an easy line to balance. I also picked up some leggings, because frankly you can never have too many black leggings, and I must say these actually feel just like a pair of Lululemon leggings I already own (but not even close to the cost)!. Matter of fact, everything I am wearing (minus the shoes) are from the line...isn't it all just perfect?!

With the Memorial Day sales right around the corner, and sale emails practically blowing up my inbox, now is a perfect time to do a little shopping and add some active wear to your wardrobe. If you’re anything like me, and you are looking for some fitness gear that is super fashionable, but cost effective, then look no further than all my favorites that I’ve included below.

Now off to the gym! Or maybe I'll just binge watch gossip girls...

**Huge thank you to Macys for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own!
