In case anyone was wondering, summer has officially hit here in Chicago…and I am not talking the perfect summer, with warm temperatures, a nice breeze and days where you want to spend every waking moment outside. Right now the temperatures are high, and the humidity is higher, so being outside is like sitting inside an oven, with frizzy and uncooperative hair and a lack of oxygen. It’s miserable, but so are the winters here so I might as well quit bitching, right?

In an effort to survive the summer, I’ve been wearing the least amount of clothing as possible, and I also cut my hair off. Yes you read that right, I took the shears to my hair and cut off a whopping 9 inches! It was absolutely necessary because those long locks were just insulating me! I know a lot of you all were always commenting on my hair, so hopefully you love this short do’ as much as before :)

Additionally, the following is currently going on in my life:
  • I booked a wedding photographer. His pictures are amazing – check out his website here
  • I ordered bridesmaid dresses and I love them so much I can hardly stand it...see them below
  • I am on a fitness kick – thank the fact I was recently forced to attend an UFC event and after seeing how in shape those ladies are, I have decided it’s time to get my arse in gear
  • I took time off the blog to read Girl on theTrain…okay I actually didn’t need any time off because I finished the book in less than 24 hours, but if you haven’t read it, I highly recommend finishing it prior to the movie being released in October
  • And in typical Jessica fashion, I am super behind on everything blog related…yep, collaborations, blog pictures, emails – everything. Why do you all even still read this blog haha?
Time to crank up the AC, pour an ice cold glass of whatever I can find and do any and everything that avoids the outdoors…at least for now :)
