Can you believe it’s almost November? I was just talking to one of my girlfriends today about how excited I am for Thanksgiving this year. Yes, it’s October 18th and I am already salivating at the thought of eating Thanksgiving dinner lol. To say food is an important aspect of my life would be a complete understatement.

Anyway, I am extra excited because this year, Joe and I are headed to Kentucky for the holiday! The past 4 years, we’ve spent Thanksgiving in Michigan and often gone to the Lions football game on that day, but this year we are switching things up and heading down South. I have 2 requests: nice weather & my momma’s homemade chocolate pie. Yummmmmmm!

And despite the sad reality that I am already thinking about Thanksgiving dinner, I’ve also already been thinking about what to wear for Thanksgiving too. I'm pretty confident that this adorable owl sweater (sold out!) and blazer will make its way into my suitcase for the trip home. It’s actually pretty perfect for a casual Thanksgiving celebration, with the exception that these jeans are not going to cut it. Jeans and eating pounds of food are just not a match made in heaven, so I’ll most likely forego the denim for leggings, or pants that have an elastic waist/tie. But my family also celebrates Thanksgiving pretty casually, so I could also probably stay in my pajamas all day, and no one would notice or care. Decisions, decisions??

What traditions do you and your family celebrate over Thanksgiving?
